Prom DO'S and DON'Ts

If you have a date, match them-
If you don’t match your date, it looks tacky and like you aren’t going together.
Pay your dues-
If you don’t pay your dues, you can’t buy your ticket to prom.
Make sure you can walk/ dance in your shoes-
If you are uncomfortable in your shoes, you’re going to be miserable dancing and walking around.
Wear something that you’re comfortable in (strapless beware!)-
Girls if you wear a strapless dress, be warned! You may or may not be pulling it up all night.
If you don’t have a date, go with friends-
If you’re single but not ready to mingle, go to prom with your friends! You don’t need a date to have fun!
Have a good place to take pictures-
Since you’re going to be all spiffed up, you should get a pretty venue with good lighting for your pictures!
Make sure to plan in advance where you’re taking pictures, eating, party bus/ limo-
The more you are prepared, the better. Make reservations, pre- pay for a party bus or limo, and already have it established within your group where you’re taking pictures.
Bring gum-
After dinner, your breath may be stinky! Bring some gum to avoid bad breath!

Don’t get to the dance too early-
You have to be fashionably late to prom. Very few people get to the dance at 7.
Don’t spill food on you or your date-
Nobody ever said they liked the spaghetti stain on your dress! Be careful eating before the dance!
Don’t eat too much before the dance-
You don’t want to feel nauseous as you dance!
Girls- Don’t order the most expensive thing on the menu-
If a boy is paying for your meal, don’t order something drastically expensive! He’s on a budget.
Don’t bring too much stuff-
If you bring too many things with you to prom, you’re not going to have anywhere to put them. Or your date is going to be loaded down with your items.
