This Is Us- TV Review

The first season of This is Us, just came to an end. This past fall, a new drama, This is Us came out. The ensemble cast stars Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Sullivan, and Ron Cephas Jones. It is about the family lives and connections of several people who all share the same birthday and the ways in which they are similar and different.

The story follows a mom and a dad named Jack (Who plays them) and Rebecca who were supposed to have triplets. One of them passed away, so they ended up having twins, a boy and a girl named Kevin and Kate. Jack and Rebecca decide to adopt another newborn: Randall, a black child born the same day and brought to the same hospital after his biological father abandoned him at a fire station.

The episodes are a mix of flashbacks to the children’s childhood, and the present. Surprises such as Randall’s biological father, a secret that Rebecca has been hiding from Randall his entire life, Kate’s love life and health issues, and Kevin’s conflicting career and relationships are just some of the exciting, entertaining drama.There is a ton of conflict that leaves viewers wanting to either catch up on the episodes they’ve missed, or anxiously waiting for the newest episode to come on.

As you get deeper into the episodes, you become more and more attached to the family and the sap and drama within the show. If you are a fan of drama and heart felt emotions, this is the show for you. Catch up on Hulu On Demand!
