With summer break in just a few days, there are quite a few highly anticipated movies coming out throughout the months of May to July.
Everything, Everything- Premiering on May 19th, this film stars Amandla Stenberg and Nick Robinson. Adapted from the 2015 novel by Nicola Yoon, the story is centered around an 18-year old girl that is a diagnosed “bubble baby” and is confined to the protection her home in Los Angeles. She gets a new neighbor, Olly, and they form a connection; a connection they risk everything to keep.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales- This movie premieres May 26th and stars Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, and Javier Bardem. As the 5th installment in the popular series, this movie shows Captain Sparrow in trouble once again. The ghostly return of his old ship crew and former captain, Captain Salazar, forces Jack to form new alliances to insure his survival.
Wonder Woman- With a release date of June 2nd, this movie stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and co-stars Chris Pine. Fashioned after the classic D.C. Comics comic book, the film shows the classical story of the Amazonian princess, once called Diana. When she leaves her home, she learns her true strength and destiny.
The Book of Henry- Releasing on June 16, this movie stars Jaeden Lieberher, Naomi Watts, and, former Dance Moms star, Maddie Ziegler. A single mother of two boys struggles to manage things alone and depends on her oldest, Henry, to help her out. When she learns that Henry’s new classmate, their neighbor, is in trouble, she is shocked to find that Henry has formed a plan specific to helping the girl.
Spider-Man Homecoming- With a premiere date of July 7, this film stars Tom Holland and Zendaya. After his latest experience with the Avengers, Peter Parker returns home in attempt to get back to his life. He is determined to prove himself to be more than just a local hero. This is disturbed when an evil vulture comes and threatens everything he holds dear.
